Bayern Munich are looking to book their place in the Champions League knockout stages as they face Galatasaray this week in Group A.
Bayern Munich currently sit top of Group A with three wins from three games in the competition so far.
A 4-3 win over Manchester United was followed by wins over FC Copenhagen, 2-1, and Galatasaray, 3--1.
Bayern Munich have been a strange team to assess so far this season as results under Thomas Tuchel have been very good but many performances have been well short of what we expect from Bayern I terms of quality.
They're coming into this game in very good form having won four of their last five games with a shock defeat against third division side Saarbrücken in the DFB-Pokal their only loss of the season thus far.
Their most recent game saw arguably their biggest win of the season as they travelled to rivals Borussia Dortmund and came away with a 4-0 win courtesy of Harry Kane hat-trick and a goal from Dayot Upamecano.
The game was Kane's third Bundesliga hat-trick in just ten games and it takes his tally to seventeen goals in fourteen games for his new club. The Englishman looks as though he's now really settled into the side having now scored four goals in his last eight games so he's a huge threat for the home side here.
A win here will confirm a place in the round of 16 for Bayern and given they're in front of their owns fans you'd expect them to get it.
Galatasaray currently sit 2nd in Group A with one win, one draw and one loss from three games so far in this campaign.
The Turks began with a 2-2 draw against FC Copenhagen followed by a famous 3-2 win at Old Trafford before a 1-3 loss against Bayern Munich.
Galatasaray will be fairly satisfied with their start to this season's Champions League but will feel as though they've missed a couple of opportunities having only managed a draw at home to Copenhagen before losing to Bayern in a game in which they performed very well.
Still, they're in a very good place in the group and they come into this game in excellent form having won four of their last five games, the most recent of which was a 2-1 win over Kasımpaşa.
This game will be much tougher, mind, and given they're away from home it's likely they'll fall to another defeat at the German champions here.
For our Bayern Munich vs. Galatasaray prediction, we're going for a 3-1 win for the home side.
