Second meets with third in Group A of the Euro 2024 Qualifiers with Scotland already in the pot for the finals next summer after arguably their best-ever display at a qualification stage for a major tournament.
This will mark the second appearance in a row at the Euros for Scotland, something which has not been achieved this century. It comes off the back of them losing only one game and racking up famous victories over the likes of Spain. On the other hand, the 2008 and 2012 European champions have now moved above them in the table into first by two points after Scotland's recent result.
The Scots drew 2-2 with Georgia in their last outing, as Napoli's superstar Kvicha Kvaratskhelia stole th show with a goal in either half, although Scott McTominay scored yet another goal at these qualifiers to keep himself in the running for the top scorer award. Lawrence Shankland was the hero in the end with a goal in added time to snatch a point.
As mentioned, however, a spot in Germany next summer is already booked, but this does now leave Scotland with little hope of topping the group.
As for Norway, the likes of Erling Haaland and Martin Odegaard will continue to wait for a major tournament, as the superstars of the Premier League couldn't do enough to get their nation over the line. Norway now sit with 10 points and as many losses as they have wins (3) this campaign.
Nevertheless, Haaland continues to be a threat and although he didn't score in the last match, the Manchester City star bagged twice in the away trip to Cyprus before that.
