Adrien Rabiot criticized for partying after Manchester United loss

Rabiot caught red-handed

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot was seen in a nightclub after the French side were eliminated from the Champions League having given up a two goal advantage versus Manchester United at the Last 16 stage.

Rabiot has lost his place in the starting line up at the club in recent months amid uncertainty surrounding his future and did not feature in the matchday squad which faced Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team.

The 23-year-old has been involved in quite an amount of controversy during the course of this campaign, and was at one point banned from participating in training sessions with the first team, and with Rabiot not playing for Tuchel since December he looks set for a summer exit.

This will not make the news of his alleged late night partying any more enjoyable for the PSG supporters to listen to, and due to the player being believed to wantaway from the club with Barcelona interested, he could come under a hostile atmosphere if he does perform for the Paris side again.

PSG fans also won’t have been pleased after photos were revealed on social media appearing to show him at a nightclub on what was a hugely disappointing night for the Parisians.

"I find unacceptable the attitude and lack of professionalism of a player like Adrien Rabiot towards the club, his teammates and his supporters,' PSG sporting director Antero Henrique said while speaking RMC Sports.

It is not the first, nor only time that he's been involved in controversy because of his wrongdoings, as he had famously declined the opportunity to be on his national team's standby list at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, which his nation then went on to win.

PSG had looked certain to progress to the next round of the Champions League prior to the second leg of their encounter with Manchester United, however a brace from Romelu Lukaku and a controversial late penalty, given with the aid of VAR, sealed the victory for the depleted Red Devils.

The French Champions will now look next week’s fixture against Dijon on Tuesday, most likely without Rabiot, as they continue their march towards yet another league title.
