Fantasy Football: Three Transfers to make for Gameweek Six
The Premier League made its return last weekend, with a number of high-scoring performances in fantasy football. Plenty of players are beginning to catch the eye in the top flight and here’s the three we feel you should be bringing into your fantasy teams this weekend.
Diogo Dalot
Team: Manchester United
Price: £5.4m
Next match: Wolves (H)
After initially watching on from the sidelines in the early weeks of his Manchester United career, teenage prodigy Diogo Dalot finally made his debut for his new club in midweek against Young Boys in the Champions League. The 19-year-old impressed, showing great intent going forward and the early signs suggest United may have found a serious player in the former Porto man. He started in place of Antonio Valencia on Wednesday night and it would take a big call from Jose Mourinho to drop him in favour of the Ecuadorian, with the fact they are playing recently promoted Wolves perhaps aiding the Portuguese’s hopes.
James Maddison
Team: Leicester City
Price: £6.6m
Next match: Huddersfield Town (H)
One of the Premier League signings to have really hit the ground running early on is Leicester City’s James Maddison, who has began life as a top flight player in excellent form. The England under-21 international has enjoyed a strong run in the Leicester side early on, beginning his Foxes career with two goals in his first five appearances, along with some solid performances to go with it. He and his side face Huddersfield this weekend, who have been in dismal form at the start of the season, conceding 11 goals and failing to win any of their first five games. Maddison will be confident of adding to his goal tally this weekend.
Aleksandar Mitrovic
Team: Fulham
Price: £6.8m
Next match: Watford (H)
Sergio Aguero - who scored a hat-trick against Huddersfield Town on the second day of the season - is the only forward to have more fantasy football points after five games than Aleksandar Mitrovic. Often inconsistent and flaky during his spell at Newcastle, Mitrovic has found a home at Craven Cottage and looks keen on making a serious impact in the Premier League this season. With four goals in his first five games, Mitrovic has been on fire in the early weeks of the campaign and will be chomping at the bit for some goalmouth action after being an isolated figure against Manchester City last time out. The Serb scored two goals in his last appearance at Craven Cottage and will hope to repeat that accomplishment here.
