ITV Racing Tips – Tuesday 28th July 2026 Best Bets for Glorious Goodwood

ITV's coverage of Glorious Goodwood gets underway on Tuesday, 28th July. A rematch of the Ascot Gold Cup headlines the opening day, as Scandinavia and Trawlerman collide in the Group One Goodwood Cup.

We have gone through all televised races from Glorious Goodwood on Tuesday, picking out ITV horse racing tips, and an accumulator for ITV racing.

13:50 - Goodwood - Yabher

Glorious Goodwood kicks off with the Chesterfield Cup Handicap on Tuesday. William Haggas-trained Yabher should be competitive on these terms if putting his disappointing effort in the John Smith’s Cup behind him.

Has an excellent record over course and distance, having landed a competitive handicap at the start of May, impressively beating City Of Delight by six lengths. Ticks plenty of the desired boxes.

14:25 - Goodwood - Pikachu

The first Group race at Glorious Goodwood this week is the Group Two Vintage Stakes, for juveniles over a distance of seven furlongs.

The penny looked to have dropped for Pikachu last time out when finishing with plenty of promise behind Al Hudaiba in the Group Two Superlative Stakes.

He should be capable of closing that gap on the same rival, especially with a 3lb pull at the weights.

15:00 - Goodwood - Marvelman

A competitive Group Two Lennox Stakes is due off at 15:00. Lake Forest could be vulnerable at the top of the betting.

Therefore, Marvelman could be interesting for the in-form Andrew Balding yard. The four-year-old has been slightly frustrating throughout his career, but looked back on form when second on his return from a 133-day break at Newcastle in June.

Worth another go over seven furlongs after winning at Doncaster last September and running with credit when third in the Group Two Hungerford Stakes.

15:35 - Goodwood - Scandinavia

The feature on day one is the Group One Goodwood Cup. It is incredibly challenging to overlook Scandinavia, who was last seen out-battling Trawlerman in the Group One Gold Cup.

The selection should be hard fit after that battling win, while the runner-up may bounce after that return effort.

Aidan O’Brien has won the last two editions of this race, and Scandinavia has been a revelation over this marathon trip, winning each of his last six starts.

16:10 - Goodwood - Naana’s Sparkle

The final race on ITV on Day One is a handicap over five furlongs.

Naana’s Sparkle should be on a good mark to make an impression for the Lemos De Souza yard. He was an impressive winner at Southwell in July, and has already won over the trip on the turf this season since joining his new yard.

The selection also has an impressive record at Goodwood, winning over course and distance in July and finishing a close third under the same conditions in May.
