5 League One & League Two Tips - 24/9/22

Saturday sees 21st place Bristol Rovers face off against 17th in the table Accrington Stanley in League One.

Meanwhile, Port Vale also have one of League One’s big hitters goal-wise, in the shape of former Portsmouth forward Ellis Harrison, who has also scored five times in nine matches.

Fourth place Sheffield Wednesday hosts 16th in the table Wycombe Wanderers at Hillsborough on Saturday, with the home side the firm favourites to take all three points.

Darren Moore’s men have scored 17 times in nine matches this season, whilst Wycombe have managed 12 goals, whilst only conceding 12. We can see this one being a close contest - hence why we have predicted the Owls to win 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1.

A top-of-the-table clash takes place at Holker Street on Saturday, as league leaders Leyton Orient travels to Barrow.

Pete Wild’s men have managed to earn 21 points in nine matches, four fewer than their opposition, however, the Bluebirds do have a perfect home record, beating the likes of Harrogate 1-0, Walsall 2-1, Bradford City 3-2 and Doncaster Rovers 2-0.

Notably, former Walsall striker Josh Gordon has been in superb form for Barrow, as the 27-year-old has managed to score seven goals in nine league games - he will likely play a vital role if Barrow are to close the gap to Leyton Orient at the summit of League Two.

The final tip on this list comes from the Eco-Power Stadium where Doncaster Rovers will go head to head with Crawley Town.

In midweek, Doncaster managed a 2-1 victory away at League One outfit Lincoln City thanks to goals by Kyle Hurst and Adam Long, ending a run of three losses in a row.

Meanwhile, Crawley who are 20th in the table were beaten 3-2 away at AFC Wimbledon. Prior to this, three of their last four matches had seen Both Teams Score, having won 3-2 at home to Stockport County after back-to-back 2-2 draws with Salford City and Portsmouth.
