Neymar transfer could be on if there is an offer that "suits all parties"

Neymar transfer saga takes another turn

One of the main talking points of the summer transfer window so far has surrounded the future of PSG and Brazil forward Neymar.

The worlds most expensive player cost the Parisians a world record £198m just two years ago but it appears that he already wants out.

Rumours of a return to Catalonia have been rife over the last 12 months and the Brazilians behaviour and antics both on & off the pitch have proven that his head isn't at the club anymore and despite him being one the worlds best players, it appears that they've lost patience with him.

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi recently spoke out calling for "no more celebrity behaviour" which you can't help but feel was directed at Neymar. His comments came not too long after the Brazilian hit out at a fan following PSG's Coupe de France final defeat to Rennes which led to him being slapped with a 3 game ban - one of many high profile incidents that he's been involved in.

Neymar has produced some sublime performances for PSG, but his behaviour and attitude both on and off the pitch leaves a lot to be desired

Neymar is supposed to be a role model and the Ligue 1 holders have given him an absolutely absurd contract which sees him earn around £500,000 a week, so he's expected to perform and represent the club by example.

On Monday he was expected to report back for pre-season training along with several other key first team players, but he didn't show up. He's still over in Brazil following his nations Copa America victory where he didn't play a single minute due to injury, which hasn't gone down well in the French capital.

Key figures speak out on Neymar news

But his father Neymar Sr, added extra fuel to the fire between the two parties after claiming that PSG "were aware" that he was going to miss training because of charity commitments.

Speaking to Fox Sports Brazil, he said: "The reason was known and planned for a year as part of his activities for the Neymar Institute, we couldn't postpone them and he will return [to PSG] on 15 July."

PSG are furious with the way he's disrespecting the club, with them claiming that they'll "take appropriate action", so it'll be interesting to see exactly what unfolds. A fine will probably follow which won't bother him too much, with him seemingly willing to do anything to get his move back to the Camp Nou.

Well it appears that it could be a real possibility, with PSG's sporting director Leonardo admitting that their club record signing can leave if they receive an offer that "suits all parties" and that there's already been "very superficial contact" from the La Liga giants.

In an interview with La Parisien, the 49 year-old wasn't afraid to hold back with him evidently unhappy with the conduct of their star player.

"Neymar can leave PSG, if there is an offer that suits everyone."

"But to date, we do not know if anyone wants to buy it or at what price," he added. "PSG wants to rely on players who want to stay and build something big."

Neymar is keen to return to Barcelona and link up with Lionel Messi, even though it's believed that the reason why he left the Camp Nou was to get out of the Argentines shadow

PSG will be keen to recoup all of the huge outlay they made to secure the 27 year-old and he still has three years left to run on his ridiculously lucrative contract, so there's only a select handful of clubs that can get this transfer over the line.

Barcelona is obviously his preferred destination but with them set to shell out over £100m on Antoine Griezmann, there's reservations as to whether they can actually finance a deal.

It looks increasingly like that Neymar will have to take a significant pay cut to escape Paris and even if he was to return to the Camp Nou, many Barca fans are still bitter about the way he left the club.

This guy may be one of the most naturally gifted footballers to play the game but drama follows him everywhere and it appears that PSG are done with it.

The Spanish transfer window doesn't shut till 2d September so this is a saga that has plenty of time to develop. Love him or hate him, Neymar always provides entertainment so lets see how this one plays out...
