Uruguay have been really struggling as of late and are in danger of not qualifying for the World Cup, with their last game against Paraguay snapping a four-game losing streak.

Venezuela are also struggling and are currently bottom of the qualification standings, but a win in their last game out against Bolivia, who previously beat Uruguay 3-0, could give them more confidence coming into this fixture.

Their last meeting in June of last year ended in a 0-0 draw in a very even contest where neither side imposed themselves on the game, and that could similarly play out in this fixture.

After Sergio Aguero retired from the national team, Martinez has become the main man up front for Argentina, and with Lionel Messi not with the squad, he will be the biggest threat for Argentina in this game.

With Bolivia having the worst defence in the qualifiers so far, conceding 32 goals in 15 games, Martinez will have the opportunity as Argentina’s main threat to expose a leaky Bolivian defence.

The Inter Milan marksman has scored in three of his last five appearances for Argentina and has the opportunity in this game to prove he is the starting striker for Lionel Scaloni’s side.

Brazil are currently top of the World Cup qualification table with a comfortable four-point gap over Argentina, and if their last game against Ecuador showed anything, it's they can’t be risking suspension for the World Cup.

This could lead to Brazil being more cautious in this game, but it's not like they have been free-scoring recently, with them only scoring twice in their last three games.

Their last meeting was a comfortable 2-0 win for Brazil, but was led by an impeccable performance by Neymar, and without him they could struggle to score, and should be able to keep Paraguay from scoring, as they have scored only nine goals in the qualifiers so far.

This game between Peru and Ecuador is a massive game for their chances to qualify for the World Cup, with Peru currently fourth place in the group and Ecuador in third.

Peru’s last three games have put them in a great place to qualify for the World Cup, they have won three games in a row which has shot them up the table with other teams struggling for results. Ecuador are unbeaten in their last six games and have built their recent results in the qualifiers on a good defence, only conceding once in their last four games.

With this game being so important for both sides, both sides could be very cautious in the match, and with both teams being evenly matched in form coming into this game, it is likely to be a close encounter.
