With the 2021/22 season approaching, Phil Foden is the early favourite to retain his Young Player Of The Year award after a terrific season saw him crowned with the 2020/21 award as he stood alongside the great Kevin De Bruyne as Manchester City took over England once again. The 21-year-old produced nine goals and five assists and played an important part in helping Manchester City win the title that year, and it is tough to believe he is still under the age of 23 with his style of play.
Foden saw himself become one of the regular starters for Pep Guardiola’s side towards the end of the season and could be in line to play a big role again next season, when the Citizens go about retaining their trophy. Now, after winning the award, last year the PFA Young Player of the year odds for Foden are 7/2.
