Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister will attract plenty of interest around the world having impressed with Argentina as they went on to win the World Cup for the first time since 1986.

The 23-year-old started every match at the World Cup, and even managed to score in his side’s 2-0 victory over Poland in the group stages, as well as assist Argentina’s second goal in the final against France.

Having already impressed with the Seagulls in the Premier League this campaign with five goals in 14 appearances, there are inevitably plenty of suitors looking to acquire the creative midfielder.

Chelsea are the favourites to sign Mac Allister, having gone on a spree of acquiring players and staff from Brighton at the start of the 2022/23 campaign, with two of the most notable names being manager Graham Potter and Marc Cucurella.

The Blues will be keen to add goals and creativity to a side that is currently lacking in those departments, as the Stamford Bridge club have only managed to score 17 goals in 14 Premier League matches this season.

Having worked alongside each other at Brighton, there is the possibility that Potter and Mac Allister would be keen to link up at Chelsea as Todd Boehly looks to build a new and exciting project at Stamford Bridge.

PSG are also interested in the Argentinian’s services, especially having watched Mac Allister perform to his best alongside the likes of Lionel Messi and ex-PSG star Angel Di Maria.

The Parisian outfit have tended to move away from the superstar signing route of late, having purchased the likes of Nordi Mukiele, Carlos Soler, Fabian Ruiz, Renato Sanches and more.

With Mac Allister being just 23 years of age, perhaps he could provide an added creative spark for PSG behind the likes of Neymar, Messi and Kylian Mbappe.

Tottenham are another side that will be keen to make additions to their squad in January, with Italian coach Antonio Conte looking to finish in the Champions League places in back-to-back seasons.

The signing of Mac Allister would be ideal, as Spurs tend to lack creativity and goals in the middle of the pitch, behind their terrifically talented front three of Dejan Kulusevski, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.
