Gabriel Jesus Transfer News & Odds

Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus could be leaving the Etihad Stadium this summer following the signature of Julian Alvarez to the club, as well as the rumoured signing of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.

The 25-year-old was signed for a fee of around £27m in August 2016, and has a good record in the Premier League for the Cityzens, scoring 57 in 155 appearances, including the goal that saw them become the first and only ever team in Premier League history to break the 100 points mark in the 2017/18 season when he scored a late winner against Southampton.

Arsenal Odds: 11/10

Arsenal are the clear favourites to sign Jesus as things stand, having reportedly already opened talks with the Brazilian striker.

Mikel Arteta has previously worked with the City striker, having been Pep Guardiola’s assistant manager between 2016 and 2019 and will know Jesus’ qualities.

The Gunners are without a striker that has a contract for next season following the departure of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Barcelona in January, with Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah’s deals both running out this summer, making this a priority position for the Gunners.

Barcelona Odds: 8/1

Barcelona are also reportedly interested in Jesus, having recently signed Ferran Torres from City in January.

Adama Traore’s loan deal is set to run out in the summer, with the Spaniard potentially returning to Wolverhampton Wanderers, whilst Ousmane Dembele’s deal at the Nou Camp expires this summer. On top of this, Barca’s current backup striker behind Aubameyang is currently Luuk de Jong who is only on loan from Sevilla.

With all of these factors considered, a move for Jesus would be logical as the Brazilian has shown his capabilities on the wing too this season.

Barca are priced at 8/1 to sign Jesus.

PSG Odds: 8/1

PSG are perhaps a surprise team to feature on this list, but, with the imminent arrival of Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid, coupled by Mauro Icardi’s reported request to leave the Parc des Princes, they will undoubtedly be in for a new striker.

Jesus has shown decent quality during his time at City, and with the overall playing standards of the French top-flight being perceived as lower than the Premier League, PSG would be getting a useful player on their books for a relatively astute fee considering his age.

PSG are priced at 8/1 to sign Jesus from City this summer.

AC Milan Odds: 12/1

AC Milan have reportedly shown some interest in signing Jesus in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Rossoneri's main two strikers, Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are 35 and 40-years of age, meaning that they could ideally do with freshening up their forward line, despite looking on course to win their first Serie A title since the 2010/11 season.

Jesus would provide a more long term solution for AC, as well as being able to operate as an inside forward.

Jesus is priced at 12/1 to move from the Etihad Stadium to the San Siro.

Borussia Dortmund Odds: 12/1

The final team on this list of clubs interested in Jesus is Borussia Dortmund, who as mentioned above, are expected to lose Erling Haaland to City via the Norwegian’s release clause.

Jesus would be an ideal option for Dortmund, as he is yet to hit his peak years and could be further developed in their system, alongside other talented young strikers such as Donyell Malen and Youssoufa Moukoko.

With the fee that Dortmund are set to receive from Haaland’s release clause, there is potential that they could actually make a decent profit by simply replacing the Norwegian with the 25-year-old former Palmeiras man.

Dortmund are priced at 12/1 to sign Jesus from the Cityzens.
