Pep Guardiola has become the bane of Jurgen Klopp's life, reforming Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga and now beating Liverpool to the title by just three points with Manchester City.

Thiago Liverpool odds

This summer transfer window, one of the players becoming available is Thiago Alcantara who did not strike another deal with the Bundesliga and is set to leave Bayern Munich to seek a new challenge. Reports have since been going around claiming the midfielder has struck a deal with Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool’s manager, is keen on strengthening his team this summer but couldn’t afford to sign Timo Werner which leaves an opening for Thiago who is looking for a way into the Premier League. Sources have revealed Thiago is looking forward to working with Klopp and has agreed a deal with the club.

However, it is not yet a done deal as Liverpool have yet to agree the fee Bayern have set for the Italian player. The German club is asking £36m for Thiago which poses an issue for Liverpool who value the player around £22m. The clubs could come to an understanding soon though as Bayern are looking to spend big on Leroy Sane which makes it likely they will lower their asking price if Liverpool raises their offer.

Thiago is 1/4 to join the Premier League champions.

Thiago City odds

As it seems a set deal for Liverpool, both Manchester City and Juventus have joined the race to try and sign Bayern Munich’s Thiago. City especially should not be overlooked in the battle for the player. As there’s still some uncertainty for Liverpool regarding the asking price, the Citizens has made a move to make a bid for the Spain international.

City’s manager, Pep Guardiola, seems to be a fan of the midfielder and has worked with him in the past with the dream of signing him again for his team. However, if City’s two-year ban from European football goes through it would be very difficult for them to try and sign Thiago or even keep players such as Kevin De Bruyne, who would want to play in the Champions League.

He is 4/1 to join City.

Thiago United odds

According to reports, Manchester United are closing in on a deal to sign Thiago from Bayern Munich this summer. Although Liverpool is closing in and comes in first to sign the Spanish international, United are not going to go down without a fight.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to strengthen his team this summer in order to shape them into Premier League title contenders. He is also in the market for signing a new midfielder as he missed out on signing Birmingham City’s Jude Bellingham, who is off to Borussia Dortmund.

Though United aren’t desperately in need of new talent, having plenty in that department already, it wouldn’t be a wise move to pay the £36m asked for Thiago. However, United seem to really want the Spanish international who could be a brilliant addition to their team. Thiago would work well with Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes.

Thiago is now 5/1 to join the ranks at Old Trafford.

Thiago Barcelona odds

When Thiago’s departure from Bayern Munich this summer got announced, one of the first clubs to be linked with the player was Barcelona. This due to Barcelona director Javier Bordas hinting at wanting to bring the Spanish international back to Camp Nou after leaving during the 2013-2014 season.

Barcelona is looking to shake it up in their midfield area, with Arthur, Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal rumoured to be leaving soon.

The 29-year-old Bayern midfielder would be a great match and Barcelona fans are open to welcome him back this summer. For Thiago a return to Barcelona would be a smart move allowing him to play in a familiar system without having to compromise.

The midfielder is 9/1 to rejoin Barcelona this window

Thiago Arsenal odds

As 29-year-old Thiago is on the move from Bayern Munich this summer, Arsenal along with others has been linked with wanting to sign the player. Rumours have been going around that Liverpool bid £18m for the player which is less than the asking price leaving an opening for Arsenal to make a move.

The German giants don’t want to lose the player on a free transfer and though their asking price stands at £36m, they are open for suggestions from other clubs and willing to lower the price a bit to £30m. A great opportunity for clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea although they should move quickly as Bayern is looking to strike a deal fast to get ready for the new season.
