5 Players to Consider for FPL Gameweek 15

Ismail

Crysencio Summerville: Leeds - £4.4m

Leeds take on Bournemouth in this week's round of Premier League fixtures, and it is a must-win game for the Whites. Although they are currently not in the relegation zone (15th place), it is the games against the sides around them that will determine whether they survive this season or not, and so this match is a must-win.

One player who will be key in the match is emerging star Crysencio Summerville, whose name was on everyone's lips after his 89th-minute winner against Liverpool last week. The week prior to that, the 21-year-old also scored in Leeds' defeat to Fulham, and against a Bournemouth side who have conceded the joint-most goals so far this season, he will certainly fancy his chances of picking up another goal.

After a few cameo appearances earlier on in the season, Summerville has now completed a full 90 minutes in two of his last three appearances, indicating that manager Jesse Marsch is starting to trust him more and is likely to carry on starting him - so at just £4.4m, he is a cheap option for anyone who wants to update their frontline.

Dan Burn: Newcastle - £4.5m

Newcastle are in impressive form at the moment, having won five out of their last six Premier League games and keeping a clean sheet in three of their last six. Dan Burn has been important in that run, with the left-back completing a full 90 minutes in four of those six matches, and at least 75 minutes in the other two.

Because Burn and the rest of the Newcastle backline have kept those clean sheets and because the Magpies have been on a good run of form, it means that Burn has picked up 27 points over the past six games - a great amount for a defender. So at just £4.5m, Burn represents a cheap option who is likely to pick up a decent number of points for this game week.

Alex Iwobi: Everton - £5.6m

Saturday's meeting between Everton and Leicester is a clash between two sides whose respective form has improved after poor starts to the season. Everton did not pick up their first league win until late September against West Ham, and have continued to struggle ever since.

They suffered three consecutive defeats at the start of October, but they demolished Crystal Palace 3-0 two weeks ago, and won a hard-earned point against high-flying Fulham, so this indicates that the tide is turning for the Toffees. And they can pick up more points against an inconsistent Leicester side, and so for our second pick, we are going for Everton's Alex Iwobi.

After undergoing a position change and slotting into central midfield rather than playing as a wide man this season, the Nigerian has put in some impressive performances, picking up one goal and contributing five assists. He has been impressive as an FPL pick, having scored 15 points in the last two game weeks, and picking up a combined 20 points over game weeks eight, nine and ten. Iwobi is slightly on the pricey side at £5.6m, but with his impressive performances so far this season, he is very much worth it.

Granit Xhaka: Arsenal - £5.1m

Granit Xhaka is having arguably the best season of his Arsenal career so far, having picked up four goals and three assists already - he is on course to break his tally of 11 G/A which he recorded in the 2017/18 season.

Xhaka's goals in consecutive games against PSV Eindhoven and Southampton at the end of October helped the Gunners to four important points, and the Swiss has also been incredibly influential in helping the Gunners to first place in the Premier League, with his leadership qualities a key asset for his side.

The 30-year-old's impressive performances in recent weeks have seen him pick up an astonishing 27 points combined in just his last five league outings - so is it time to put him in your team?

Despite never being a player who consistently gets a lot of points in FPL previously, his impressive performances (as a result of his positional change in the Arsenal starting XI) mean that he now is an option for many players - and at £5.1m, anyone can afford to transfer him in.

Rodrigo Bentancur: Tottenham - £5.4m

Another relatively cheap midfield option is Tottenham's Rodrigo Bentancur, who is priced at just £5.4m.

Despite Tottenham's poor form in recent weeks, the Uruguayan has impressed, with his best moment coming when he scored a last-minute winner against Bournemouth in the league to give Antonio Conte's side a much-needed three points.

This weekend, Spurs face a Liverpool side who have made a terrible start to the season, and despite the fact that they themselves are playing poorly, Tottenham will look to steal three points against a vulnerable Liverpool side.

Bentancur has started every game except one this season for Tottenham, which has allowed him to pick up 43 points so far. And so he could be a smart pick for this weekend, considering the fact that he will start and faces a Liverpool team in disarray.
