However, despite being ranked 16th in goals scored, Bournemouth’s top scorer Dominic Solanke is one of the top scorers in the league with 13 goals, the third most in the league. The Cherries have conceded 44 goals - an average of 1.91 goals conceded a game, and have kept just five clean sheets.
Newcastle and Bournemouth have only met 18 times in their histories, with the first meeting coming in the League Cup in 1963. Newcastle have the slightly better record in the fixture with seven wins in comparison to Bournemouth’s six wins, the other five games ending in a draw.
Other than the loss in November, The Magpies haven’t lost in this fixture since 2017, winning on four occasions and drawing three times.
