It's been a frustrating nine months or so for Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who has had to watch on from the sidelines while his teammates surged towards the top of the Premier League table.
Not only that, but he was forced to cruelly watch on as his teammates took on Real Madrid in the Champions League final last May, having played an integral part in helping the team get to the showpiece event in Kiev. He also missed out on the small matter of England reaching a World Cup semi-final in Russia.
The Reds have been in excellent form this term, currently sitting four points clear at the top of the league and have won 11 of their last 12 games in the league. To make things even better for them, Oxlade-Chamberlain will return to training next month, providing a welcomed boost for the side as they head into the run-in.
The 25-year-old has been working hard to get back in time to play again this season and now looks set to be fit enough to feature in a significant number of their games between now and the end of the campaign.
That will have undoubtedly left him in a buoyant mood heading into training and it showed during a recent video. Both he and Rhian Brewster have been working back from injury together of late and featured in a video on the club’s official website, with the latter challenging Oxlade-Chamberlain to sing the famous ‘Allez, Allez, Allez’ chant.
Watch below as Oxlade-Chamberlain sings his own ‘PG’ version of one of the Kop’s most popular songs.
