Icardi certainly has a way of making new players feel welcome

In a new video on his personal instagram account, Mauro Icardi has celebrated his inner child with a short clip which portrays his humiliating of new teammate Lautaro Martinez. Through the help of Sime Vrsaljko, who was recently signed from Atletico Madrid, Martinez is lured into the changing room, where another player is able to pour flower all over the striker.

Coming in from Argentine side Racing Club, Lautaro Martinez was brought in to partner Mauro Icardi upfront and add more goals to an already impressive squad of players. Icardi himself is expected to stay at the club despite some strong rumours that Real Madrid could see him as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, who left the club to sign for Juventus, who Icardi will face on at least two occasions this season.

Mauro Icardi narrowly missed out on the Serie A Golden Boot last season, scoring twenty-nine goals in thirty-six appearances and being able to achieve a further twenty-six goals in forty-one games of the 2016/17 season. Before then, he was only able to score sixteen in thirty-four but shot to fame in the 2014/15 campaign, where he netted an incredible twenty-seven goals in forty-eight games. His consistency and knack of goalscoring is the reason why Real Madrid are so frequently linked with signing the Argentina international, but even his incredible record in front of goal wasn't enough to get him a place in the World Cup 2018 squad.

Behind the scenes, Mauro Icardi is a regular social media user and shows his childish side in this latest instalment. You can see the video in full below, which was provided courtesy of @Copa90:

Twenty-five-year-old Icardi is known for his antics both on and off the pitch and is best known for his open criticism of Internationale fans in an autobiography released in 2016. The backlash from fans was so aggressive that a large portion of Inter fans would boo him despite his prolific form in front of goal. After a prolonged period of presenting banners calling for the club to sell the Argentine, he was fined by the club and urged to alter sections of his autobiography.

All fans of European football will be fully aware of his odd personal life. As a young player, he worked alongside Maxi Lopez at Sampdoria, who he idolised. A lot of close friends and insightful journalists hailed his love for Lopez but he clearly took it a step too far when he was caught having an affair with Lopez's wife. After a rough divorce between the two, Icardi remained involved, and married his wife at a private ceremony in Buenos Aires. Many have criticised Icardi for reportedly having tattoos dedicated to Lopez's children. Since he married Lopez's wife, they've gone on to have a further two children. Unsurprisingly, him and Lopez no longer see eye-to-eye...
