Two sides at opposite ends of the League One relegation scrap meet this weekend as Fleetwood Town host Port Vale.
Fleetwood Town currently sit 24th in League One with four wins, seven draws and seventeen losses from twenty-eight games this season.
The Cod Army are having an utterly dismal campaign and are looking more and more like a lost hope as the weeks go by.
They're eleven points from safety and are coming into this game in awful form having failed to win any of their last fourteen games in all competitions.
Their most recent game did at least see them take a solid point away from home at Wycombe Wanderers in a 2-2 draw thanks to goals from Promise Omochere and Jayden Stockley, and the result could have been more were it not for Omochere's red card on the stroke of half-time.
Fleetwood's form on home soil has been poor too, with the Cod Army coming into this game having failed to win any of their last six home games, losing seven of those.
Fleetwood are looking like a sure thing as far as relegation is concerned and it would not be unwise for them to start planning for next season in League Two.
This game is completely winnable for most sides in this division given it's a home fixture against another relegation contender but there's very little reason to have any confidence in Fleetwood beating anybody right now.
Port Vale currently sit 20th in League One with eight wins, six draws and twelve losses from twenty-six games this season.
Like their opponents, the Vale have had a tough campaign but it's also one that has been marred by injuries, something they'll no doubt attribute to their league position.
They're entering this game three points clear of the relegation zone and in poor form having won just one of their last six league games.
Their latest league game saw them fall to a 0-1 defeat at home to league leaders Portsmouth, which despite the poor result was a fairly encouraging game given it took an 88th minute penalty for the league leaders to down the Vale.
Their form away from home isn't a source for encouragement either, with the Vale having won just one of their last nine games on the road.
These two sides met in the league back in August and Port Vale ran out 3-2 winners, and considering they're unbeaten in their last three head-to-head meetings with Fleetwood there's plenty of reason to believe they'll at least avoid defeat in this one.
For our Fleetwood vs. Port Vale prediction, we're going for a 1-1 draw.
