Burnley and Crystal Palace will be aiming to put recent woes in the 2023/24 season behind them after a dreadful start from both teams sees the Clarets in the relegation zone and the Eagles floating just above it.
Like most seasons, Palace have not really battled for the top half and have not been sucked into a relegation dogfight just yet either.
Heading into this one, Roy Hodgson's side have a healthy gap of seven points on the bottom three, having now won three games and lost four times too. Hodgson's men have not won in the past three games since beating Manchester United at Old Trafford, however, as they went on to draw 0-0 with Nottingham Forest before a 4-0 beating from Newcastle United.
This also means their most recent loss to Tottenham Hotspur was the only one where they have bagged a goal since that win in Manchester, as Jordan Ayew scored in the 94th minute - this also means they went over 300 minutes without scoring a goal in the Premier League during October.
Other wins for Palace this season have seen them defeat Wolverhampton Wanderers at Selhurst Park and also beat Sheffield United at Bramall Lane in the opening weekend of Premier League action.
As for Burnley, things are even worse for them while Palace continue to float above the drop zone. The Clarets come into this match with only one Premier League win on their books and are only sitting adrift of last place because of Sheffield United's inability to win a single game.
Burnley saw goals from Jacob Bruun Larsen and Lyle Foster against Luton in that win that day, but they have since gone on to lose Chelsea, Brentford and Bournemouth in the Premier League before they were then defeated by Everton in the EFL Cup round of 16 in their last outing during the week. It now means only two wins in all competitions for them, as they smashed Salford City 4-0 in the EFL Cup third round a few weeks back.
