Crystal Palace and Chelsea will battle it out with one another in the Premier League on Monday night as the Eagles aim to close the gap to just four points on the struggling Blues at Selhurst Park.
For all the woes of Palace this season, this game could see them get to within touching distance of the top half of the table and to within only four points of Chelsea.
This comes off the back of the 10th loss this Premier League season for the Blues which now means they have lost more games than they have won and also suffered more goals conceded (39) than they have scored (38). Wolverhampton Wanderers were the winners over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last time out, and this also means Mauricio Pochettino's men have a gap of 15 points on the top four and are closer to the relegation zone with just a 12-point gap on Everton in 18th.
Pochettino's side did get back to winning ways with an impressive victory over Aston Villa in the FA Cup, as Conor Gallagher and Nicolas Jackson scored before a sensational free kick from Enzo Fernandez. However, with a draw against Villa in the fourth round's first game and a 4-1 loss to Liverpool, it does mean the fantastic 6-1 victory over Middlesbrough at home in the EFL Cup semi-finals second leg is all Chelsea have to boast about.
The last win for Chelsea in the Premier League was over Fulham in a west London derby where Cole Palmer got yet another goal from the penalty spot.
As for Palace, they are to within five points of the relegation zone after more poor displays, but a win here does bring them to within five of the top half of the table. On the other hand, a 4-1 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion last time out was the 11th defeat of the season for Palace.
One of those losses for Palace was in a defeat at Stamford Bridge, as Mykhalio Mudryk scored in the first half before Michael Olise equalised for the Eagles. The three points were handed to Chelsea in the end thanks to a penalty from Noni Madueke.
