The first game on this list comes from La Liga as Real Madrid faces Almeria at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday.
Real will be looking to bounce back from their shock 4-2 loss at the hands of Girona, having previously won their last four matches against Celta Vigo, Chelsea (twice) and Cadiz by 2-0 scorelines.
Almeria have won two of their last four matches since drawing 2-2 with Celta Vigo, having beaten Valencia and Getafe by 2-1 scorelines on either side of 2-1 losses to both Atletico Madrid and Athletic Club.
La Liga leaders Barcelona hosts Real Betis at the Nou Camp with Xavi’s men knowing that they need to win just four matches to become the champions of Spain.
Barca’s form has been slightly suspect of late though, having lost 2-1 and 4-0 to Rayo Vallecano and Real Madrid on either side of 0-0 draws against Getafe and Girona prior to a vital 1-0 home win over Atletico Madrid.
Betis have won just one of their last five matches, as following 1-0 and 2-0 losses to Atletico Madrid and Cadiz, they beat Espanyol 1-0 before being beaten 3-2 by Osasuna and only managing a 1-1 draw at home to Real Sociedad, with the latter result putting a massive dent in Manuel Pellegrini’s side’s chances of qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
Norwegian Elitserien league leaders Bodo/Glimt host Brann on Saturday, with Kjetil Knutsen’s side looking to maintain their perfect start.
Bodo/Glimt have managed three wins in a row against the likes of Sarpsborg 2-0, Stabaek 4-0 and Aalesund 3-0, seeing them sit at the top of the table as the only team with a 100% win record.
Meanwhile, Brann have won two of their first three matches, beating Haugesund 3-0 and Valarenga 3-1 on either side of a 2-0 loss away at Odd.
Plymouth Argyle will be looking to wrap up promotion back to the Championship on Saturday when they face 16th place Burton Albion at Home Park on Saturday.
Steven Schumacher’s men could potentially win the title too this weekend, as they are one point ahead of second-placed Ipswich Town. Argyle have won their last four matches since suffering a 2-0 loss to Lincoln City, going on to beat Exeter 1-0, Shrewsbury Town 2-1, Cambridge United 3-1 and Bristol Rovers 2-0.
Burton have little to play for having consolidated their place in League One for another season. In their last five matches, the Brewers have lost 3-2 to Charlton and beat Sheffield Wednesday 3-2, before going on to draw 1-1 with Bolton prior to a 1-0 defeat at Derby and a 1-0 win over Lincoln.
The final game on this list comes from Liga NOS, where league leaders Benfica will be desperate to refind the form that saw them start the season in blistering fashion.
Gil Vicente are without a win in their last five outings, seeing them sit 14th in the table after 1-0 losses to Estoril, Sporting Braga and Portimonense on top of 0-0 draws with Sporting Lisbon and Chaves.
Benfica look like they may have turned a corner, as after four matches without a win they managed a vital 1-0 home victory over Estoril thanks to a goal from Nicolas Otamendi. Prior to this, they had been beaten 5-3 on aggregate by Inter Milan in the Champions League, while suffering damaging 1-0 and 2-1 losses to Chaves and Porto.
