ITV Racing Tips – Saturday 7th February 2026 Best Bets for Newbury & Warwick

Saturday's ITV Racing coverage includes action from Newbury and Warwick on Saturday 7th February. There will be Cheltenham Festival clues on offer, with current Arkle favourite Lulamba taking on his elders in the Grade Two Game Spirit Chase.

We have gone through the races televised on Saturday and have picked out our ITV horse racing tips. You can find our selections, an ITV Racing Accumulator, and the best bookmaker offers here.

13:00 - Newbury - Sober Glory

ITV’s action on Saturday kicks off with a potentially informative Novices’ Hurdle over an extended two miles. Fantasy World is a fascinating recruit over obstacles for Nicky Henderson, and holds an entry for the Triumph Hurdle.

However, Sober Glory should be capable of winning this despite carrying a penalty. The six-year-old has won twice from three starts over hurdles and got back on track last time with minimal fuss at Newbury, beating It’s Top by 13 lengths.

Debut form still reads strong, beating Kadastral by 12 lengths. Harry Cobden is back aboard and ticks plenty of boxes.

13:15 - Warwick - Hollygrove Cha Cha

The Warwick Mares’ Hurdle is due off at 13:15, and you’d have to be extremely forgiving to give Jubilee Alpha another chance.

Therefore, at the prices, Hollygrove Cha Cha is preferred for the in-form Jamie Snowden team.

Had jumping issues in a novice chase last time, but still managed to finish a credible fifth. Goes back over hurdles as a Grade Two winner at this level, winning over two miles and four at Sandown last February.

The strength of that form looks solid, and she sees over this staying trip very well, which could be important against a weak finisher.

13:35 - Newbury - Kapal Layar

A trappy handicap over an extended three miles is next up from Newbury.

Olly Murphy’s yard continues to be among the winners, and an each-way chance could be taken on Kapal Layar to bounce back to the sort of level he showed in the spring.

Has run well below that standard on two starts this season, but wind surgery, coupled with the application of first-time cheekpieces, could sharpen up this well-handicapped gelding.

13:50 - Warwick - Mambonumberfive

Just three go to post for the Grade Two Kingmaker Novices’ Chase. I’m a big fan of Mambonumberfive, and the progressive five-year-old could put down a notable marker ahead of Cheltenham targets, getting 2lb from the hat-trick seeking Steel Ally.

The Ben Pauling runner will have in-form Ben Jones aboard, as he chases a fourth win over fences. Was excellent in December when beating Hansard over seven lengths, and his jumping could be the key.

Heavy ground isn’t a major issue, having shown strong form on testing ground in France, including when beaten just three lengths by the multiple-time Group winner Nietzsche Has.

14:10 - Newbury - Haiti Couleurs

Haiti Couleurs sidestepped an engagement in Ireland last weekend in favour of this Saturday’s Grade Two Denman Chase.

In truth, this looks like a much simpler assignment than the ultra-competitive Irish Gold Cup. The progressive nine-year-old for the consistent Rebecca Curtis yard only has L’Homme Presses as serious competition, but a revival of stable form will be required by the aging challenger.

Haiti Couleurs has won five from seven over fences, and was incredibly impressive off a high weight when cruising to Welsh Grand National success in December. The one to beat.

14:25 - Warwick - Grandeur d’Ame

A Veterans’ Chase is next up from Warwick. Plenty have cases, but heavy-ground specialist Grandeur d’Ame could be the main chance.

The Alan King yard has been among the winners in recent weeks, and this ten-year-old has won four from 18 starts over fences.

Travelled well for a long way on New Year’s Day before eventually finishing 12 lengths behind the improving Matata. Back in calmer waters this weekend, and carries little weight in comparison to his rivals.

14:45 - Newbury - Lulamba

Nicky Henderson has twice won the Grade Two Game Spirit Chase with novices, and Lulamba looks good value to join legends Sprinter Sacre and Altior.

The five-year-old has been foot-perfect in three starts over fences, and is clear on ratings in this company. Maintained his momentum last time with victory in the Grade One Henry VIII Novices’ Chase, beating Be Aware by nine lengths.

Bred to stay further, which should suit on testing ground, and the yard is bang in form. Likely to enhance his Arkle credentials.

15:20 - Newbury - Let It Rain

It wouldn’t be a Saturday on ITV without a winner for the Dan Skelton yard, and their success could come in the handicap hurdle over an extended two miles, which rounds off the action.

Let It Rain was narrowly denied on her return following a 387-day break, finishing just under a length behind Dance And Glance.

This step up in trip will suit, and ground conditions will pose few questions after posting her best efforts on soft.
