Ones To Watch #10 | Football Index

Latest News

Ones To Watch

Our new weekly feature with Football Index, hosted by Emma Jones alongside Sky Sports' Alan McInally.

Each player selected is discussed in-depth with their performance and potential both on and off the pitch debated by Emma and Alan.

There are two ways to 'win' on Football Index:

1) Buy Low, Sell High

2) Daily Payouts

Ones To Watch covers both, whilst also educating on how each element works in specific player-related context.

Keep an eye on Neymar

Neymar has been one to watch ever since he burst onto the scene for Santos as a 17-year-old back in 2009. The Brazilian's audaciously beautiful style back in his homeland grabbed the eyes of fans globally, eventually earning him a place at Barcelona.

Now, at Paris Saint-Germain, the 28-year-old has gone from strength to strength and is perhaps reaching his peak years in the French capital. This season, after his goal against Borussia Dortmund, Neymar boasts of 16 goals in 19 games for PSG, as he continues to grow alongside Kylian Mbappe.

"He's just incredible," said Alan. And his goals and assists record simply can't be overlooked, believes the Sky Sports pundit. Although, Alan expects a return to Spain over the next few windows for the ex-Barcelona man, due to his relationship with his current club.

However, now that Neymar is fully free from injury, the PSG number 10 is definitely one to watch on Football Index.

The return of Paul Pogba

Paul Pogba has failed to evade the headlines this year, despite playing just eight times for Manchester United thus far. Currently, the Frenchman is recovering from a foot operation and is expected to be back out in front of the United faithful next month.

However, Alan believes that Pogba's ability will still attract names such as Barcelona and Real Madrid very soon and could perhaps even return to his homeland with PSG. This summer, on the other hand, Alan suggests that the 26-year-old will stay at the club, with United's desire to keep him too strong for outside competition.

Ahead of the midfielder's return, Pogba has registered 31 goals and 31 assists in 150 games for the Red Devils. Plus, it is important to remember the breathtaking form the ex-Juventus man found himself in during Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first few games which earned him a place in the PFA Team of the Year.

Having last played on Boxing Day, Pogba's price on Football Index has fluctuated throughout the season. Now, with a return to action soon on the cards, United's creative number six is certainly one to watch.
