Arsenal 2-0 Sunderland
The Premier League leaders have recovered in excellent fashion from their 3-2 defeat at the Emirates against Manchester United. Arsenal's record at the Emirates is magnificent: the home side has dropped only four points at home this season, averaging 2.42 points per game with an xG of 1.83 goals. Arsenal also have the best defence in the Premier League, conceding only 0.71 goals per game.
Sunderland's away record will likely cost them in this fixture. The visitors are unbeaten at home, but away from home, they have dropped points. Sunderland's last away win in the Premier League was at the end of October, and since then, the Black Cats have averaged 0.83 points away from home.
Bournemouth 1-2 Aston Villa
Bournemouth have had a mixed record at home in the Premier League, as the Cherries have won only twice in their last seven league games at the Vitality Stadium. The recent meetings between the two sides have favoured the Villains, as the away side are unbeaten in the last six matches against Bournemouth.
Aston Villa has been excellent this season, with the away side in third place in the Premier League and the second-best away record in the division, with six wins, three draws, and three losses. Aston Villa have won six of their last 10 matches in league and cup, scoring at least two goals in five of those games and conceding one or fewer in eight.
Wolves 1-3 Chelsea
The home side is winless in their last three matches, with back-to-back defeats against Manchester City (2-0) and Bournemouth (0-2). Wolves have the worst home record in the Premier League, which is hardly surprising; they have gained only five points from 12 matches at Molineux this season.
The Blues have lost only twice under Liam Rosenior since his arrival, with three consecutive league wins during his tenure. Chelsea have a good record against Wolves, having won the last four meetings between the two sides.
Newcastle 0-1 Brentford
Newcastle United are without a win in their last four matches in all competitions, following their 3-1 away defeat against Manchester City in the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final. Their league form this season has seen pressure increase on Eddie Howe, as his Newcastle United side is in the bottom half of the Premier League table after 24 matches. The Magpies are winless in their last three Premier League matches with defeats to Liverpool (4-1) and Aston Villa (1-2).
As for Brentford, Keith Andrews' side is seventh in the Premier League with 36 points from 24 matches this season. The Bees have picked up three wins in their last five league games. Away from home, Brentford have managed three wins in their last four visits away from the GTECH Community Stadium.
Brighton 2-1 Crystal Palace
Brighton & Hove Albion's home record should see them in good standing for this fixture. The Seagulls are in excellent form at home, having lost only one of their last 16 home league outings, stretching back to last season. Brighton have scored in at least four of their last five matches in the Premier League, and we fancy the Seagulls to repeat this scoring feat against a Crystal Palace side who have failed to keep a clean sheet in four.
Crystal Palace have had a poor season on and off the pitch, and they head into the game against Brighton with no wins in their last 12 matches in all competitions. In the Premier League, the Eagles are winless since the start of December, when they beat Fulham by a 2-1 scoreline.
Liverpool 2-2 Manchester City
The biggest game of the weekend undoubtedly takes place at Anfield, as Liverpool hosts Manchester City. Last season's champions will likely not retain their crown this season, as the Reds find themselves in a battle for the top four with Chelsea and bitter rivals, Manchester United. As for Manchester City, their inconsistencies have led them to be six points behind Arsenal, which could be nine points before the ball is kicked at Anfield, should Arsenal beat Sunderland.
For this fixture, we are predicting a high-scoring draw between the two sides. Over 2.5 goals have been scored in five of the last six matches involving Liverpool. The Over 2.5 goals market landed in the reverse fixture between the two sides when Manchester City recorded a 3-0 win.
