WATCH: PSG teammates Neymar & Cavani clash again in Brazil v Uruguay

Tempers flare in Brazil v Uruguay

They may be teammates at club level with Paris Saint-Germain but there's clearly no love lost between Neymar and Edinson Cavani. Healthy competition at a club is always important in order to get the best out of each other but with these two it appears that this is something a little more than that. Since Neymar arrived in the French capital for a world record fee of £198m there's been plenty of rumours about the goings-on behind the scenes at the Ligue 1 Champions, with him reportedly demanding that he's put on penalty and free-kick duty.

There was one instant last season when Neymar tried to take a penalty off Cavani during a game which resulted in a high profile spat between the two, so their lack of affection for each other is clearly common knowledge. However, many thought after the arrival of Thomas Tuchel the pair had resolved their differences but events on Friday night suggest otherwise. The pair were on opposing sides at the Emirates Stadium as Brazil took on Uruguay in an international friendly - but in reality it was far from a non-competitive game.

In total there was 8 yellow cards which is crazy for a friendly but the main talking point came when Cavani and Neymar clashed late on in the second half. The Uruguay international collided with the winger near the left touchline which resulted in him making one of his trademark dive. Neymar rolled all over the place which led to tempers flaring, Cavani and the Uruguay players surrounded the referee, shouting in his face which resulted in Cavani being booked whilst Neymar miraculously recovered from the knock as usual.
