For our Morecambe vs. Bolton prediction, we're going for a 2-0 win for the away side.
Bolton Wanderers continue their push for a top six finish in League One this weekend as they make the short trip to face Morecambe.
Morecambe currently sit 20th in League One with seven wins, ten draws and sixteen losses from thirty-three games this season.
The Shrimps have struggled for the majority of the campaign and at one point looked as though they were almost certain to go on and get relegated to League Two, but a number of impressive results in quick succession dragged them out of the bottom four and into a safe position.
However, they've come back down to Earth of late and they find themselves coming into this game amidst a poor run of form having won one, drawn one and lost three of their last five matches in League One.
Most recently, Morecambe limped to a 1-0 defeat at Fleetwood Town after falling behind in the 13th minute.
Their home form overall has been extremely positive of late, however, having won three, drawn one and lost one of their last five matches on home soil.
As things stand, Morecambe are surviving by the skin of their teeth as they sit outside of the relegation zone by the skin of their teeth as they're level on points with Accrington Stanley. They need result and they need them quickly; unfortunately they have to try and find them against a side gunning for promotion here.
Bolton Wanderers currently sit 4th in League One with eighteen wins, eight draws and one losses from thirty-five games this season.
The Trotters had started the season in inconsistent fashion and looked as though they seemed destined to underwhelm this season, but a cracking run of form post-World Cup break propelled them up the table and into the play-off spots.
Their form overall has been solid of late having won three and drawn two of their last five matches in the league, but they are entering this game off the back of a disappointing result having been comprehensively beaten 3-1 by Portsmouth last time out.
The defeat at Pompey meant they've now lost two of their last three games away from home, and they need to rebound immediately here or they risk the momentum they've worked so hard to accumulate fizzling out.
Bolton beat Morecambe 1-0 when the two sides locked horns in the league back in August and considering The Shrimps' form they should be confident of a rebound win here.
