Brentford vs. Nottingham Forest Prediction, Tips & Stats

Nottingham Forest's bid secure their Premier League status continues this weekend as they face Brentford away from home.

Brentford currently sit 9th in the Premier League with eleven wins, fourteen draws and eight losses from thirty-three games this season.

The Bees have had an excellent campaign this season as they look well on course to cruise towards a mid-table finish, an excellent achievement for the club.

A spot in the European places is not out of the question either, but a six-match winless run prior to their most recent win has made that a difficult task.

Their latest outing saw them claim a comfortable 2-0 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in what was a professional, efficient performance by Thomas Frank's side.

Brentford allowed Chelsea to have the lion's share of possession but defended excellently with their opponents creating next to nothing.

As such, Brentford claimed a first win in seven matches in a result they'll hope will kick start a good run of form to end the campaign.

They're generally very strong at home having lost just two of their last ten matches on home soil so they'll feel confident of claiming a second successive win here.

A win here would be huge in their quest for a European spot and if they want that to be their fate they'll have to likely win four of their last five games making this one a must-win.

Nottingham Forest currently sit 17th in the Premier League with seven wins, nine draws and seventeen losses from thirty-three games this season.

Forest have had an up and down season in terms of form as they desperately attempt to secure survival in the Premier League as a newly promoted side.

Things have been mightily difficult following the influx of players entering the club in the last two transfer windows but there's still a decent chance that Steve Cooper makes a success of their transfer strategy as they find themselves outside of the bottom three with five games to go.

Forest enter this game in poor form overall having lost four of their last five games but having won their most recent game their fans will be hoping this is the start of a strong run of form for them.

Forest claimed an unlikely three points in a 3-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion last time out, a result that few people expected given Brighton's successes this season.

Forest fans will be delighted that 21-year-old Brazilian Danilo, a January signing, got on the scoresheet in midweek having started his career slowly. The midfielder is exceptionally talented and looks to now be finding his feet, with his contribution potentially proving vital in their survival bid.

The main concern for Forest here is their abysmal away form, with Steve Cooper's side failing to win any of their last nine games away from home.

Three points at Brentford will be very, very difficult but if they can come away with a point they'll be happy.

For our Brentford vs. Brighton prediction, we're going for a 1-1 draw.
