Brighton vs Everton Prediction, Tips & Stats

Brighton & Hove Albion will be looking to make it two wins in a row for the first time in 2024 and reignite some sort of hope for another spot in Europe for next season with a meeting against Everton at the AMEX.

Brighton inflicted yet another 5-0 loss on Sheffield United this seson and it was the second time th Seagulls have managed to score five at Bramall Lane in the past three weeks alone, having won 5-2 away to the Blades in the FA Cup fourth round before beating them 5-0 last weekend. Facundo Buonotte and Danny Welbeck scored first half goals before Simon Adingra netted twice alongside an own goal.

It means Brighton have a meeting with Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup fifth round next Wednesday, while they have also moved above West Ham United in the table by two points and sit one above Newcastle Untied. They are still, however, nine behind Tottenham Hotspur in fifth and behind Manchester United in sixth by six.

As for Everton, their terrible run of form in 2024 and winless run continued last time out with a draw at home to Crystal Palace being their fourth Premier League draw of this calendar year already. The only losses the club have suffered, however, have been away to Manchester City and in a home FA Cup fourth round loss to Luton Town.

Despite the woeful run of form, Sean Dyche has seen his side move out of bottom three after the point against the Eagles. On the other, with Luton only in the relegation zone on goals difference and level on points with Everton, the Toffees could be back in the bottom three if Luton can win that extra game. At the time of writing, however, that game is against Liverpool on Wednesday, however, and a victory at Anfield seems very unlikely.

        Brighton team news

Solly March is out for most of the season and Brighton are clinging onto some hope that he can do so. Jack Hinshelwood is in the same boat and may not feature again this campaign. Joao Pedro is also out of action in this game but will return fairly soon and likely faces only a few more weeks on the sidelines. Julio Enciso is nearing a return but is unlikely to come back for another week or so, and James Milner is close to coming back and might do so here.

        Everton team news

Arnaut Danjuma won't come back until some point in March and Andre Gomes is also set to come back at a similar time but perhaps next week. Dele Alli is the only other absence in what is otherwise a full-strength Everton team. They did, however, play on Monday and may now make some changes, as Jack Harrison, Beto, Amadou Onana and Michael Keane all started on the bench.
