Tottenham vs Wolves Preview, Tips & Stats

Wolves make the trip to North London to take on Tottenham this Saturday in the Premier League. Tottenham look for three points to claw their way into the race for the top whereas Wolves aim for the top of the table.

Tottenham currently sit fourth in the Premier League after 24 games. Spurs have 14 wins, five draws and five losses, leaving them on 47 points, five points behind Arsenal and Manchester City and seven points behind Liverpool.

In their last five games in all competitions, Tottenham have two wins, two draws and one loss.

Rasmus Hojlund opened the scoring for Manchester United in the third minute, but Richarlison equalised before the 20 minute mark. Marcus Rashford regained the lead for United before halftime but just one minute into the second half, Rodrigo Bentancur grabbed a goal to secure a 2 - 2 draw for Spurs. In the Fourth Round of the FA Cup, Tottenham hosted fellow Premier League side Manchester City. Nathan Ake scored the only goal of the game late on to give City the 1 - 0 win.

Back in the Premier League, Tottenham faced Brentford. Neal Maupay gave The Bees the lead at halftime, but early second half goals from Destiny Udogie, Brennan Johnson and Richarlison gave Spurs the lead. Ivan Toney did get a goal for Brentford but Tottenham held on for the 3 - 2 win. Despite a brace from Richarlison against his old club Everton, a goal from Jack Harrison and a 94th minute goal from Jarrad Branthwaite grabbed a 2 - 2 draw for Everton.

The last time out for Tottenham was against Brighton. A penalty from Pascal Gross gave The Seagulls the lead but a goal from Pape Sarr and a 96th minute goal from Johnson gave Spurs the 2 - 1 win.

Wolves, on the other hand, currently sit 11th in the Premier League. In 24 games, Wolves have nine wins, five draws and ten losses which leaves them on 32 points, just two points behind Chelsea in tenth.

In their last five games in all competitions, Wolves have two wins, one draw and two losses.

On the trip to the Amex, Wolves had just 28% of the possession and just three shots on target in the goalless draw against Brighton. In the Fourth Round of the FA Cup, Wolves took on West Brom in the Black Country derby. Pedro Neto and Matheus Cunha gave Wolves the 2 - 0 win and the spot in the next round.

Back in the Premier League, Wolves hosted Manchester United. Despite a late offensive with goals from Pablo Sarabia, Max Kilman and Neto, goals from Rashford, Hojlund, Scott McTominay and Kobbie Mainoo gave United the 4 - 3 win. However, Wolves bounced back against Chelsea. Both Cole Palmer and Thiago Silva were on the scoresheet for Chelsea but an own goal from Axel Disasi and a hat-trick from Cunha gave Wolves the 4 - 2 win.

The most recent outing for Wolves was against Brentford. Christian Norgaard scored in the first half and Toney grabbed a goal in the second half to give The Bees the 2 - 0 win.

Tottenham and Wolves have met 105 times in their histories, with the first meeting coming back in 1908. Tottenham have the far better record in the fixture with 52 wins in comparison to Wolves’ 32 wins, the other 21 games ending in a draw.
