Liverpool forward Takumi Minamino looks destined for an exit from Anfield this summer having played just 1,008 minutes worth of first-team football for Jurgen Klopp’s side this season.
The 27-year-old Japan international was signed from Austrian Bundesliga outfit Red Bull Salzburg for just £7.25m in January 2020 and has a decent record for the Anfield club, scoring 14 and assisting three in 55 appearances.
Minamino was even sent out on loan during the 2020/21 season to Southampton, where he managed two goals in 10 appearances during the second half of last season. Following the arrival of Luis Diaz from Porto, Minamino looks set to be made surplus to requirements as he searches for regular first-team football.
In his time at Anfield so far, Minamino has managed to win the Premier League in 2019/20, as well as both the FA Cup and League Cup this season. He could also add the Champions League to his list of honours if Liverpool are successful in defeating Real Madrid on Saturday at the Stade de France.
