Manchester United are looking to all but secure their spot in the top four this weekend when they head to the Vitality Stadium to meet with a Bournemouth side who are already safe and secure in the Premier League.
It could be the perfect time to play against Bournemouth for United, although they have lost twice here in recent years in the Premier League. United are now in fourth ahead of this one for yet another gameweek and they sit with a game in hand and a one-point gap on Liverpool. It does mean they can afford to drop points in this match and still have Champions League football in their hands.
Nevertheless, given how the Reds have now secured seven wins in a row and now sit with a nine-game unbeaten run, United won't want to drop any more points with the Reds set to meet with an already-relegated Southampton on their final game of the season after playing Aston Villa.
The Red Devils did return to winning ways after losing in the 99th minute to Brighton & Hove Albion and then 1-0 to West Ham United. Anthony Martial and Alejandro Garnacho were the difference for United against Wolverhampton Wanderers last time out in what was their 20th win of the season and yet another game where they avoided defeat at Old Trafford - they have now not lost in the Premier League since August at home.
Bournemouth are now eight points clear of the relegation zone with only six points left to play for. It comes after winning for the 11th time this season against Leeds United three weeks ago in a fantastic 4-1 performance.
The club then went on to lose 3-1 to Chelsea and 2-0 to Crystal Palace, but with safety secure, they are merely aiming to finish as high as possible. The Cherries can end up in 11th and ahead of Chelsea with a lot of luck, but they will need to win their final two games and hope that the Blues, Crystal Palace and Wolves all lose.
